🚀 Putting It Into Practice
Aug 25, 2025
I try to review this story every morning or before bed, so the rest of my daily and weekly actions are aligned with a story I know was written after immense exploration.
I also use this clear write-up to plan out different paths I can take in my career and life, map out my milestones, and set measurable goals. I know my vision is based on my true self, values, and purpose. So I trust that this vision is a good guide to set goals by. This is very helpful in moments of doubt, or confusion, or when you’re tempted to do something because of inner criticism, social expectations, toxic work demands, or family.
Remember:
- Use your vision to set milestones and goals for your career design and search over the next year or a few months
- Refer to your vision quarterly to make any changes, see where you’re no longer aligned, and reflect on the progress you've made toward your dream career and life.
- Use your vision in weekly planning sessions to map out the tasks you’ll do for the week. In this context, especially if your vision is around being in a new role and a dream job.
- Review your vision daily for inspiration and ask:
“Do the tasks I have planned now align with my vision?”
“What tasks can bring me closer to my vision?”
đź’ˇ Tip! If you don’t love writing down reflections or visions - record them. Open your phone's voice memo app and record your vision. Listen to it in the morning and before bed.
