✨ Are You Picking Up on Collective Energy—or Letting It Drain You?

adhd & anxiety energy healing meditation self-care spiritual Sep 17, 2025

Have you ever woken up from a dream that felt so real, it lingered long after you opened your eyes?

The other night I had one like that.

It wasn’t a normal dream.

There was this feeling of military preparation—discipline, focus, transformation.

And it wasn’t about fear.

It was about readiness.

And something about it felt deeply connected to what’s happening in the world right now.

We’re living in a moment of huge transition.

Systems are falling apart.

New ways of living, leading, and relating are trying to emerge.

And beneath the surface, there’s pressure.

Not just outside of us—but inside too.

You might feel it in your body.

In your dreams.

In your emotions.

In your nervous system.

But here’s something I want to say clearly, first:

This isn’t all yours to carry.

You don’t have to hold the whole world

If you’re someone who’s sensitive, intuitive, or energetically aware—

You might already know what I’m talking about.

Sometimes we’re not just feeling our own anxiety.

We’re feeling the collective.

The grief that’s in the air.

The confusion.

The uncertainty.

The frustration, the panic, the waiting.

And if you don’t name it, you might think you’re broken.

Or behind.

Or not grounded enough.

But the truth is, you might just be tuned in.

That’s not a flaw.

But it does mean you need to take care of yourself differently.

Here’s what I remind myself of often:

  • The responsibility isn’t all on your shoulders. Just because you can feel it, doesn’t mean it’s yours to solve.
  • You’re allowed to disconnect. Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually. If your system is overwhelmed, you don’t need to keep pushing through.
  • Sensitivity is not weakness. But it does require boundaries. You can feel deeply and say, “I can’t hold this right now.”
  • The media will spin things. It thrives on fear. So if you’re consuming more chaos than clarity—step back. I personally can’t read the news right now. I need to stay connected to my own sense of what’s true.
  • Sometimes the anxiety isn’t even yours. It’s the energy you picked up in a room. Or from someone else’s fear. Or from scrolling too long.

You don’t need to carry it just because it landed in your field.

Tune in instead of absorbing

We weren’t designed to carry everything.

We were designed to feel, respond, and reconnect with ourselves first.

So we can actually know what’s ours.

And what’s just moving through?

So much of what we call anxiety is just overexposure.

❌ Too many voices.

❌ Too many timelines.

❌ Too many opinions.

If you want to stay grounded, you need to step out of that noise.

What helps me:

  • Time alone—without doing, just being
  • Letting myself feel without trying to fix it
  • Journaling or moving my body to get energy moving
  • Remembering that presence is a form of contribution, too
  • Choosing silence over more content
  • Asking: “What’s actually mine right now?”

You might also be shifting into a new way of being

For many of us, there’s another layer to this.

We’re not just sensing the collective—we’re changing how we respond to it.

You might be stepping into a new form of power.

Moving from hyperactive doing into grounded clarity.

Balancing the masculine and feminine.

Not as concepts, but as ways of being.

Maybe you used to handle pressure by pushing harder.

Now you’re learning how to stay soft while still being strong.

Maybe you used to think that feeling everything was a burden.

Now you’re learning how to listen to it—and then let it go.

That’s part of the shift, too.

A reminder, if you need it:

You’re not meant to hold it all.

You’re not meant to fix it all.

And your worth is not tied to how much you can carry.

It’s okay to step away.

It’s okay not to know.

It’s okay to be still, quiet, alone—even on a Saturday when the world says you should be busy.

That’s not disconnection.

That’s being with yourself.

And sometimes, that’s the most powerful thing you can do.
